These terms govern use of the Slate Discord bot (“Slate”), operated by Pocotalgia (“we”, “us”). By inviting or using Slate, you agree to these terms. If you use Slate for a server, you confirm that you have authority to configure it for that server.
Server administrators choose Slate’s settings, moderation rules, roles, channels, and actions. You are responsible for deciding whether those settings are appropriate, reviewing automated rule-based actions, and ensuring that staff access to moderation logs, feedback, tickets, and transcripts is appropriate. You must have the authority and any necessary permissions to submit or manage information through Slate.
Slate can help with moderation, but it cannot guarantee that every harmful message or user will be detected or that every command will succeed. Discord may limit or change its API, and Slate may be unavailable or delayed. Server administrators remain responsible for moderation decisions.
You retain your rights to information and content you submit. You allow us to process it as needed to operate Slate’s features, provide support, and maintain the service. Our handling of information is described in the Slate Privacy Policy.
Slate is provided on an “as available” basis. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and may restrict use where necessary to protect the service or comply with law. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service working, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or that Slate will meet every server’s needs.
Slate does not currently offer paid bot features. If paid features are introduced, their price, renewal, cancellation, and feature terms will be shown before purchase and may be governed by additional terms. A purchase does not grant any rights beyond the features described at the time of purchase.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Slate is provided without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use or unavailability of Slate.
We may update these terms as Slate changes. We will update the effective date above when a new version is published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
